I'm back!!!!!!! I needed to make a card and had NOOOOOO mojo flowin! Katie had her card for Mojo Monday (which is going on all week so get in on it!) and viola... The only problem is that now I dont wanna give it away.

I had tons of fun making it. I discovered you can color fun flock with your Copics and even apply Smooch to it, Smooch is great for big areas and small, I love paper piecing and I cant make a bow to save my life.. hahaha... Enjoy!

I have been super busy lately... Havent gotten the chance to make any cards, even though I have a ton I need to get made... Here is the card I made for my oldest child's birthday that was on March 29th. He turned 10 and is really into skateboarding... Seemed fitting...
After I made this card, I made another that is altered to be a gift card holder for my TGF Card Class on Saturday at Funkie Munkie Scraps from 1-3. So be sure to stop by if you're local!

Sorry i have ben MIA for awhile. My mom came to visit for a week and then work has changed.. Life has just been crazy... I should be finished with a few other projects today though. Until I can get pictures taken and posted I thought I would get a full picture of the card from 2 posts ago...

It was a great class... Thanks to Rach & Katie for comin out to support me. My mom was able to attend.. And Stephanie was actually able to attend and was my saving grace! Thanks Stephanie! The next class is in the works. The date is set and cards are half done......

Pretty Hat Anya

Well here's a teaser of a card from my first The Greeting Farm class coming up March 3rd 6:30pm to 8:30pm at Funkie Munkie Scraps!! You'll not only learn how to make 2 "funkie" cards, but how to paper piece! Its my favorite thing to do, especially with Anya & Ian! You can go "pp happy".. hahahaha... I will be coloring with Copics and Spicas, but you can bring whatever color medium you want!! I cant wait!

I will be doing more "TGF" classes with each one being different... Different shaped cards, coloring techniques, assembly techniques, stamping techniques, etc etc etc... All loaded with all sorts of tips! With each class you will walk away with not only 2 "funkie" cards and Tips n Techniques (TnT), but the card "recipes" for each one!

Without further ado.....

Here he is... Hero Ian!! My nephew has joined the Army and goes to boot camp in July... I am soooo proud of him! So I made him this card. You can also find a "copy" at Funkie Munkie Scraps, where you can also purchase this set along with other The Greeting Farm sets!

I made this card for my momma. She is a nurse and this Anya with the boofy hair reminds me of my moms graduation picture from nursing school. Of course the bop hairstyle is also my favorite on my mom (when she can leave her hair alone long enough to have it like that)... My baubles arent straight, but my mom gets why they arent. After raising me, nothing is straight! HAHAHA... I love and miss my momma soooooooo much. But I love knowing she lives in the same place Marie (creator of Anya) does! Anything I do Anya makes me think of her!

Funkie Munkie

Yes I know.. Long overdue... But I took pictures of a bunch of stuff I have done lately and will be posting one project or card a day for a little bit...
There is a new local scrapbook store in town... FUNKIE MUNKIE SCRAPS... And I am now part of the Funkie Munkie Scraps Design Team ... and I am LOVIN it! It has brought my mojo back in full speed. For some reason I always do better when I have a purpose.
I love the ladies at FMS (Stephanie & Lisa). Stephanie is so nice and genuine. She is just FANTABULOUS! Lisa is AWESOME too. She is SOOO much like me. Its sooo nice to finally meet someone whos like a mirror of you. The store is great! They have so much of the "new" stuff that no one else carries and they are so open to finding out about even more stuff they can carry. They make me want to do as much as I can for them. I feel honored to be able to say I am on their design team.
I will also be doing classes for them. My first class is on Feb 22nd! I am going to be teaching the frame below (or at least that frame with the letters GNO for Girls Night Out). **You can really tell, but it is covered in glitter Mod Podge so it sparkles! *** You can check out their store website to see all the classes or projects they have available. They will be updating it regularly. You can even sign up for them from the luxury of your own couch!

Rach had her baby...

Rachel had her baby at 347am this morning. Baby is 7 lbs 7 ozs 19 ins long. Rach still hasnt officially named her, so we are still waiting on that one. Both mommy and baby are doing good though! She is very alert and quiet, so heres hoping she stays that way!

And here she is with proud daddy and big brother, James Paul!!

Had a GREAT mail day!! Got my order of Bellas in and my order from All That Scraps!!! SWEET!! I LOVE happy mail days... And the best part is now that I've got baubles, Robin's Nest dew drops, Sugarplums and Flower soft in hand, I can get to workin on my Christmas "cards" for the year. So I was reading my BFF blog. She has a 4 year old son who Kirsten says she is going to marry. And well, I am all for it. He is very well behaved, smart as all get out, very manly and well... tolerates my child. So anyways, she had posted that her kid watched Barack Obama on CNN and told her the kids picked the president (thanks to Nick Jr.) So 10 mins later in walks Chris and Kirsten with my lunch. I am telling him about the post and Kirsten walks up to me and says, "I wanted McCain." Apparently my 5 year old child has been paying attention to a lot more than I have. I hope this doesnt put a monkey wrench in the pre-arranged marriage though... HAHAHA!

If life wasnt ever rough, there would be no need for Paradise.... Who really wants that. I happen to like closing my eyes and seeing myself in that hammock. Reminds me why I havent lost it yet or just given up. I havent laid in that hammock YET!

JustRite stampers

Ok.. I am in LOVE! Courtesy of Rach (of course) I bought all but one set of the JustRite Stampers products (http://justritestampers.com). Well for the last 3 weeks they have been running a challenge on their blog to enter kreations each day for the chance to various prizes. Of course having hurt my back I wasnt up to enter the first 2 weeks, but I sure as heck had a ton of ideas of projects. I finally felt well enough this week to enter. Below are 4 of the 5 projects I entered, with 3 having won honorable mention (although I am not entirely sure which 3 besides the calendar) and one of my products was actually picked to be a feature on their blog (THANK YOU!!). I am glad I entered, but more importantly to me, I finally did a few projects I have been wanting to do, but didnt have the mojo to get them done. Nothing like a little pressure to get my artst gerbil sprintin' in my little ol' head.. hahahaha

Here is the calendar (my favorite by far)... I have seen the advent calendars around and since my daughter started school, we are upping her chores. I believe it is important to teach a child that you have to earn things you want and that treats are saved for important things. Now I can fill her tin with anything from money to candy to small little treasures to "IOU" coupons for bigger things. Her rewards will be right in front of her face as incentive to do what she is suppose to and we will all be happy. Using the JustRite Small Letters the tins were easy-peasy to make and label. Being as how its going in my Mickey decorated kitchen I had to make it match...

Next is my new stamp organization system. I am out of room for more stamp sets, yet cant bear the thought of parting with any. I am tired of sorting through tons of boxes to find the "perfect stamp". I am over not being organized... I fixed it. Saves TONS of room, handy cards I can go through to quickly find the perfect stamp, easy findint what CD its in and with the JustRite Small Letters set I even have the name of the stamp set easily accessible. Best stamp organizing I have done. This was also the project that was featured on the blog!

Here are some note cards I made for Kirsten's teacher. I would much rather her spend her time with my daughter then make something cute when she wants to say something or thank someone for something. I am also working on stationary and actual thank you cards and a holder for all of it. (yes I will post the picture of the rest when I finish it all). But above all, every teacher deserves those special little somethings, after all they do basically raise your kid 32.5 hours a week...

And last but not least is my clean/dirty dishwasher thingy. I HATE opening the dishwasher and the little detergent holder is already open indicating the dishwasher has been opened since it was last run (which you would assume would mean it was unloaded and reloaded) yet the dishes "look" clean, as does the inside of the machine, but since I prewash my dishes as I put them in the sink... well you can see where that is headed.. Now the only obstacle in my way is training the hubby and kid to actually change the status... We shall see.. HAHAHA

(Editors Note: Yes I did cut the bottom row where it attaches to the Classic Wood Stamper of my bigger letter to be able to use them in the ring and they still work perfectly for everything else. And the dots are from one of the borders just using a marker to ink 1 (for the border) or 3 (for the clean/dirty divider) of the dots.)

Sorry this is such a long post, wanted to just combine it all... As for the 5th project I entered, well that will come on a later blog. Its way too important to me to group with these others... Til then... Shock your artsy gerbil into a sprint and have a kreative day!

New card

Ok so I got my first ever Starving Atristamps yesterday and I have had loads of fun.. I just stamped out a bunch of images and was playing with coloring. But my sissy has a birthday on the 16th and I still hadnt gotten her card made. So I went with Frozey! I did her hair in Doodlebug Green Sugar Coat. Her body is done in Pixie Pink Fun Flock (cause I LOVE LOVE LOVE fun flock)... The paper I used didnt have any glitter so I took my frosted lace Stickles and made it glittery. (although I suggest against it cause your hand stays in the squeeze position. I used Spare Parts glitter brads, the Treading water punch for the edges. Black Magic Coredinations paper with my Swiss Dots cuttlebug folder for the "belt", SU Scallop Punch with the happy birthday stamp colored with marvy markers. And of course thick glue dots for pop. Pictures just dont do it justice... Now I dont wanna send it to my sissy... Guess I need to make another!!

Here are some newer cards I have done.. Actually I stamped images and was playing with "coloring" in the images... More bored and wanted to spend some time in my craft room... Well once the images were colored, I had to do something with them. Of course being as late as it was, I just slapped em on something.. Definitely not my typical work, but sometimes its just about fun!!!

I fun flocked the penguins with Black.. I LOVE fun flock!! The with copics, stickles, and spicas I colored in the rest. The skirt and the green part of the shorts are done with stickles...

I hadnt used my prisma pencils in forever so I picked this one to color.. Practice is more like it.. I am pretty happy how the palm tree came out though... Again just threw it on paper.

This one was my need to play with my flower punches I have owned for 6 months and hadnt used...

Ok so I have been horrible about updating my blog.. Here are some thank you cards I just threw together..

This one is pretty clear.. Nothing extraordinary..

This one I embossed with pink EP, inked around the edges and off centered cause I got busy talking to my daughter and cut the base size off by a mark.. lol

These are done with one of my favorite designs.. I use the base design alot and just change it all up with shapes and papers and embellies.. I did it in pink and blue just for something different. I have tons of Primas that I never use so I just layered them and wend on with it. The sentiment stamp was a $1 one from michaels or acmoore.

Wedding Card

Yep, its that time of year again... Wedding galore... This was my first card ever using a Bella image. It was really easy and kinda got me hooked (at least on 12 of em)... I am sure that addiction will grow, but for now I got the basics. If you havent made cards with Bellas, you should!!! I used copic markers to color the main image, Fairies Myst (like shimmerz) to do the dress which made it look textured and sparkle and Spica pens for added glitz here and there. I also used the SU word window and made a gift card holder inside. This card also started my latest addiction of using double sided paper as a card base to add pizzazz to the inside. All in all, my perfectionist self was pretty pleased.

Well off to paradise to make some Mother's Day cards, birthday cards and a few other misc ones!

The Beginning

Well here I go with the blog thing. Hopefully this will make me spend more time creating cards. I am in the process of redoing my little corner of paradise, but by months end I will have a computer in my craft room so I can multi-task (like I dont do enough of that at work)... So that will be sure to eliminate some excuse. Just bear with my though, like it says, my life is chaotic and sometimes I don't even have enough time to breathe...
